Change one letter at a time to turn one word into another, and every step must be a real word.

A classic word puzzle invented by Lewis Carroll. You start with one word and have to reach a goal word by changing just one letter at a time, and every step along the way must be a real word. For example: COLD, CORD, CARD, WARD, WARM. Tap a letter in the word and then tap the letter to put in its place. If it is not a word we know, you are asked to try another letter, and there is no penalty. You can undo a step, and the hint tells you a good next word. The game tells you the shortest number of steps, and you earn three stars for finding a shortest ladder. Early levels use three-letter words and short ladders. Later levels use four-letter words with ladders of up to eight steps. There are three ladders in every level. Levels 1 to 10 are free; the rest are Premium. Stars are saved on this device only.
