Build a Bug Hotel

You will need

• A clean empty plastic bottle or wooden box
• Dry sticks, pine cones, bark
• Dry leaves and straw
• String

Steps (0/5 done)

1. Step 1. A grown-up cuts the bottle in half or prepares a small wooden box.
2. Step 2. Collect dry sticks, bark, pine cones and leaves. Do not take living plants.
3. Step 3. Pack the materials tightly into the container so there are lots of little gaps.
4. Step 4. Tie the hotel with string and hang it in a sheltered, dry spot.
5. Step 5. Check on it every week and draw what visits. Remember: look, but do not poke.
